We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN provider for an outpatient-only locums assignment in Irvine, California. The client is currently prioritizing local providers only, with mileage reimbursement available for qualified local candidates.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: As soon as credentialed (estimated days)
- Contract Length: Through August/September with potential extension
- Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- 1-hour lunch break (8a 12p / 1p 5p)
- Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic only
- EMR: EPIC experience required
Patient Population & Volume
- Adolescents (13+) through geriatrics
- Average patients per day
- Standard scheduling:
- 15-minute follow-up visits
- 30-minute new patient visits and procedures
Required Clinical Skills & Procedures
Candidates must be comfortable managing a wide range of women s health and outpatient OB/GYN services, including:
- Confirmation of pregnancy (>7 weeks) with bedside ultrasound
- Initial OB visits
- Routine prenatal visits
- Postpartum care
- Incision checks
- Well-woman exams for all ages
- IUD and Nexplanon insertion/removal
- Incision & drainage of cysts
- Problem-focused visits including:
- UTI/STI treatment
- Menopause management
- Hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
- Breast pain evaluations
- In-office procedures including:
- LEEP
- Colposcopy
- Endometrial biopsy (EMB)
- Cryotherapy
- Cervical polyp removal
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted California license
- Board Certified
- Active DEA
- BLS or ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
