ATC West Healthcare is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join its established Urology practice, supporting a collaborative surgical team in the evaluation, treatment, and long-term management of patients with urologic conditions. This hospital-owned outpatient practice offers a stable daytime schedule with no weekends or holidays, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced urology NP seeking strong work-life balance in a community-focused healthcare environment.

Dates / Schedule
  • Full-time position (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week)
  • Daytime schedule
  • No weekends or holidays
  • Physician office/outpatient practice setting
  • Practice under supervision of a collaborating physician
  • Not accepting:

    • Candidates planning another concurrent position
    • Candidates with less than 1 year of experience
Job Details / Responsibilities
  • Assist the Urology surgeon with diagnosis and treatment of urologic conditions
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing
  • Assist with:
    • Urologic surgeries
    • Office-based procedures
  • Provide patient and family education regarding:
    • Diagnoses
    • Procedures
    • Treatment plans
    • Postoperative care
  • Manage postoperative and follow-up care
  • Coordinate care with:
    • Physicians
    • Nurses
    • LPNs
    • Medical assistants
    • Clerical staff
  • Maintain clinical documentation and support departmental operations
  • Adhere to:
    • Universal precautions
    • OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards
    • Hospital policies and safety protocols
  • Work environment may include exposure to:
    • Blood and body fluids
    • Communicable diseases
    • Airborne particles
    • Chemicals
  • Physical requirements include patient handling, manual dexterity, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Master s degree from an accredited Adult Nurse Practitioner program required
  • Active Vermont APRN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Urology required
  • Healthcare Provider CPR certification required
  • DEA license required
  • Most recent NPDB Self-Query report within 30 days required at presentation
  • ANCC certification required
  • National APRN certification recognized by the Vermont State Board of Nursing preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, patient education, and collaborative care skills required
