An inpatient neurocritical care facility is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) in Wilmington, NC to support a Neurology team in a high-acuity hospital setting. The role involves evaluating and managing assigned patients, supporting admissions and rounds, and delivering care in a 10-bed Neuro ICU.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift or night shift
- Schedule: Monday through Sunday
- Hours: 7:00am - 7:00pm or 7:00pm - 7:00am; no call
- Setting: Inpatient
Responsibilities:
- Perform neurological assessments and follow-up examinations for assigned patients.
- Manage care for neurocritical care patients in a 10-bed ICU environment.
- Support admissions, hospital rounds, stroke alerts, and discharge planning.
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Inpatient neurology experience.
