An established urology practice in the greater Los Angeles area is seeking a Physician Assistant join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role. Candidates will work alongside a well respected surgeon and other APPs. The role involves a mix of outpatient clinic, hospital rounding and assisting in surgery. Monday-Friday schedule, shared call requirements (primarily phone). New graduates with an active CA State License are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Inpatient, outpatient and first assist
- Examine patients and their medical records
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.)
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
- Prescribe medications
- Maintain accurate records and schedules
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
- Educate patients and their family members
Qualifications:
- Active California State License
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
