Required Credentials & Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-appropriate)
- Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with behavioral health conditions
- Administer medications, monitor responses, and document interventions
- Assess patient status, report changes, and escalate per protocol
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records and follow facility policies and safety procedures
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of psychiatric/behavioral health nursing principles and crisis intervention
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Effective communication and teamwork within multidisciplinary settings
Licensure/Certifications:
- Active RN license (must meet state requirements)
- Additional certifications (e.g., BLS) as required by facility
