Facility in Bloomington, IL seeking Interventional Cards locums coverage Rates: weekend call: $1800-2250 with 4 hour gratis, $350-425/hr after 4 hours. Friday call - $1000/night and $350-425/hr call-back. Rates depend on the availability and experience. Opportunity Highlights
  • Consistent Weekend Schedule: The role requires consistent weekend coverage from Friday at 5 PM to Monday at 7 AM. You will work 24-hour shifts.
  • Solo Practice: You will be the primary provider on call and will work independently, with a 30-minute response time for calls.
  • Diverse Responsibilities: Your duties will include providing full interventional cardiology coverage, handling Cath Lab procedures for inpatients as needed, and managing the hospital's STEMI auto-accept program. This program streamlines the process for patients experiencing a severe heart attack, getting them to the Cath Lab as quickly as possible. You will also perform cardiac catheterizations, PCI, and related interventional procedures.
  • EMR System: The facility uses Epic for all charting.
  • Quick Privileging: The estimated time to secure full or temporary privileges is 60 days.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide full interventional cardiology coverage from Friday at 5 PM to Monday at 7 AM.
  • Be available for STEMI call coverage, which is required to support the hospital's regional program.
  • Perform cardiac catheterizations, PCI, and other required Cath Lab procedures for inpatients.
  • Consult with hospitalist and ICU teams for admitted patients.
  • Collaborate with other employed and PSA cardiologists.
Provider Requirements
  • Education: MD or DO.
  • Board Status: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • Licensure: An active Illinois State License is REQUIRED to apply. We are not able to consider candidates with an IMLC.
  • Certifications: ACLS, DEA, and CSR licenses are required.

  • The target start date is September 19, 2025.
