About the Opportunity

We're seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on, and ambitious General Manager to lead one of our high-volume fast casual restaurants. This is a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced restaurant operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about developing teams, driving financial performance, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being fully immersed in restaurant operations during our busy season while benefiting from an extended off-season that provides greater flexibility and work-life balance.

As General Manager, you'll partner closely with senior leadership to oversee every aspect of restaurant operations, lead a high-performing team, and maintain the operational excellence that drives our continued success.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and inspire both Front-of-House and Back-of-House teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, and retain top talent.
  • Develop supervisors, managers, and hourly team members through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional hospitality.
  • Make staffing decisions, including promotions, performance improvement, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.

Operations Management

  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations to ensure exceptional food quality, cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations, health department standards, and company operating procedures.
  • Manage purchasing, inventory, vendor relationships, and cost controls.
  • Identify operational opportunities and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Resolve operational challenges with sound judgment and decisive leadership.

Financial Performance

  • Maintain full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for the restaurant.
  • Drive revenue growth while achieving labor, food cost, and profitability goals.
  • Analyze financial reports, sales trends, and key performance indicators to make informed business decisions.
  • Develop action plans to improve restaurant performance and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Create schedules that balance labor budgets with exceptional guest service.

Guest Experience

  • Lead by example in delivering outstanding hospitality.
  • Ensure every guest receives a memorable dining experience.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements that strengthen customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years of progressive restaurant management experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading supervisors, managers, or large hourly teams.
  • Experience managing a high-volume fast casual or full-service restaurant.
  • Proven success with full P&L responsibility.

Schedule Requirements

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work up to 60 hours per week during the approximately 32-week peak operating season.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
