Physical Therapist - Acute - (PT - Acute)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2232.00 - $2300.00
This outpatient Physical Therapist opportunity is located in Calhoun, Georgia, a welcoming community in northwest Georgia known for its friendly small-town feel, historic character, and convenient access to both Atlanta and Chattanooga. You will be working alongside a team of approximately 56 full-time equivalent clinicians and staff, providing a strong collaborative network and shared expertise. The clinic handles a busy orthopedic caseload, offering you the opportunity to refine and expand your skills in musculoskeletal assessment, post-surgical rehab, sports-related injuries, and chronic orthopedic conditions. This environment is well suited for clinicians who appreciate a structured day with clear expectations and the opportunity to see tangible progress in their patients.The typical schedule is 5 eight-hour day shifts each week, for a total of 40 hours. This daytime schedule supports a predictable routine and allows for consistent patient follow-up. The expectation is approximately 12 patient visits per day, with a focus on efficient, high-quality, evidence-based care. On-call responsibilities are not anticipated, allowing you to maintain a healthier worklife balance. You will be responsible for full-scope outpatient PT services, including initial evaluations, individualized plan-of-care development, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise interventions, patient and family education, and ongoing reassessment to support functional goals.A typical day will include conducting comprehensive evaluations, determining appropriate treatment pathways for a range of orthopedic presentations, and coordinating with other members of the care team as needed. You will document all treatments and communications in the clinics electronic medical record system, adhering to internal standards and regulatory requirements. With a consistent, high-volume schedule, this role offers an excellent opportunity to build clinical experience, sharpen time management skills, and strengthen your professional portfolio in outpatient orthopedics.The clinic environment is designed to support teamwork and professional growth, with a culture that values patient-centered care, open communication, and continuous improvement.
