HVAC Service Technician / Installer - Commercial and Residential

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This position will perform a combination of HVAC installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work on residential and light commercial systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and capable of working independently in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and components
  • Diagnose electrical, refrigerant, airflow, and controls-related issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance and service calls
  • Install furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-splits, ductwork, thermostats, and related equipment
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
  • Start-up and commission HVAC systems
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and project managers
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years HVAC field experience preferred
  • Experience with both installation and service work
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • EPA Certification required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and mechanical rooms
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman HVAC License
  • Experience with commercial rooftop units, split systems, boilers, or VRF systems
  • Knowledge of controls and low-voltage systems
  • Welding, brazing, or sheet metal experience
  • NATE Certification
