We are hiring motivated, dependable, and experienced Commercial Journeyman Electricians to join our team. In this role, you should have ample experience with installation and construction processes, as well as experience with blueprint reading, electrical schematics, wiring, conduit work, and thorough knowledge of workplace safety practices. You must be able to follow directions, climb heights, and be willing to help with any aspect of an electrical project. You will strive to provide safe electrical systems for a variety of customers. This is a direct hire with Southern Atlantic Electric Company.
We are hiring for long-term commercial projects. We have scale pay projects. Always steady work with no gaps between jobs.
Responsibilities:
- Run/lead multiple jobs and crews
- Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
- Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
- Troubleshoot motor and control systems
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
- Adhere to all quality and safety codes
- Support a master electrician on various electrical jobs
- Examine units for loose connections
- Drill holes for electrical wiring
- Measure and cut wires
- Conduit work - bend and run conduit
Qualifications:
- Leadman/Foreman experience is a preferred
- Familiarity with Fire Alarm and Electrical Controls is a preferred
- HVAC Control experience is preferred
- Have own hand tools and power tools
- MUST pass a drug screen
- MUST have a valid driver license
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Experience with reading blueprints or electrical schematics
- Physical stamina
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to learn
