Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: 8-hour, 10-hour, and 24-hour shifts available; Day shifts required; Weeknight on-call (pager) required; Weekend on-call (pager) required; Holiday shifts and call preferred; As-needed shifts preferred
- Job Setting: 6 anesthesia rooms; MDs supervising CRNAs at a 1:4 ratio; MDs also performing their own cases; Charting via Epic
- Types of Cases: General, Orthopedic, Endoscopy, Gynecology, Vascular, Plastics; No heads, hearts, or pediatric cases
- Credentialing: Estimated privileging timeframe: 90 days
Responsibilities
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtain and/or verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certification required
- Certifications: ECFMG and FLEX; Completion of approved residency in Anesthesia
- Licensure: Currently licensed as a Physician in Pennsylvania; Candidates needing to obtain state licensure will not be considered
