REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
  • Cardiac anesthesia for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases
  • General OR anesthesia as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: Board Certified in Cardiac Anesthesia and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
  • Licenses: Active Nebraska license or Universal License (IMLC) highly preferred; will consider candidates needing to obtain license
  • Certifications: TEE Certification (Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography, NBE testamur status)
  • Experience: Fellowship in CV Anesthesia with TEE certification, or minimum 5 years documented CV Anesthesia experience with TEE certification
  • Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice and background history; Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation; Must be available for specified dates
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide cardiac anesthesia for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart surgeries
  • Perform transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) as needed
  • Cover general OR anesthesia cases when required
  • Participate in unrestricted overnight and weekend call rotation
  • Supervise CRNAs occasionally
