Learn the Business Side of Commercial HVAC
EDI HVAC, a leading HVAC wholesale distributor, is seeking a motivated individual interested in learning commercial HVAC systems, plan reading, estimating, and material take-offs.
This position provides hands-on exposure to commercial construction documents, mechanical plans, HVAC equipment, and the estimating process used to support contractors and construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret mechanical (MEP) drawings and specifications
- Identify HVAC equipment, ductwork, air devices, and accessories on construction plans
- Prepare HVAC material take-offs from project drawings
- Assist with estimating and quotation preparation
- Organize project documentation and bid information
- Support sales and project teams with technical information
- Work with Excel and internal estimating tools
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to read technical drawings is a plus
- Basic AutoCAD knowledge is helpful but not required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Interest in HVAC, construction, estimating, engineering, or project management
