Job Title: Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse Location: Southwestern CT Shift: Full-Time, Day Shift (Rotating Weekends and Holidays)
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate + $5.00/hr Differential (Post-Training)
Sign-On Bonus: $30,000! Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled OR RN to join our premier surgical team. This role is designed for an experienced perioperative professional who is ready to deliver exceptional care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Candidates must have dedicated OR experience and be prepared to meet the flexibility required of a top-tier surgical department, including an on-call commitment. Key Responsibilities
  • Perioperative Care: Serve as a dedicated Circulating and/or Scrub Nurse. While we offer training in both roles, candidates must already possess foundational competency in at least one.
  • On-Call Requirement: Participate in the department's on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 surgical coverage.
  • Scheduling: Work full-time day shifts with a rotation for weekends and holidays to maintain continuity of care.
  • Sterile Field Integrity: Maintain a rigorous sterile field and advocate for patient safety throughout the intraoperative phase.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience is required for consideration.
  • Skills: Must have prior experience scrubbing and/or circulating.
  • Licensure: Current Connecticut State RN License in good standing.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Certification: Current BLS (AHA) required; CNOR certification is a plus

  • Critical Care Differential: Eligibility for an additional $5.00 per hour once you are fully trained and deemed competent by the Department Manager.
    • Note: This is an incentive-based differential initiated at the manager's discretion upon successful completion of orientation and competency validation.
