Job Opportunity: Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology
Join a dynamic healthcare team in Petoskey, Michigan, where you can make a difference in patient care! This practice is located within a hospital setting, offering a supportive environment with advanced services onsite. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, providing care to outpatients as well as inpatient procedures, with a well-established support staff including physicians and advanced practice providers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent patient care in a hospital clinic setting.
- Perform an average of 18 outpatient procedures and 20 inpatient scopes per day.
- Conduct endoscopy procedures and manage consults during working hours of 7am 4:30pm.
- Collaborate with a team including 2 physicians and 2 APPs.
- Utilize onsite lab and X-Ray facilities.
- Manage EMR documentation using Cerner software.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology REQUIRED
- ACLS certification REQUIRED
- Active Michigan state license and CSR at the time of submission REQUIRED
- Minimum of 2-3 years of post-fellowship experience in Gastroenterology REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice background; no current actions REQUIRED
- Local candidates preferred REQUIRED
- COVID-19 vaccination REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
All candidates must have the following:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- ACLS certification
- Active Michigan state license and CSR
- Current COVID-19 vaccination documentation
- DEA Verbal Confirmation at time of name clear
- NPDB self-query report (pulled within 30 days)
