Gastroenterology Locum Opportunity Available in Colorado this Summer, Ongoing 1 week per month Schedule / Availability
- All shifts are 24-hour call coverage from 7:00 AM 7:00 AM the following day.
- Current coverage dates:
- Ongoing need for approximately 5 7 days per month.
- Trauma Designation: Level 1 Trauma Center
- Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric, Adolescent
- Daily Volume:
- 8 10 new consults and follow-ups
- 5 8 scopes per day
- GI service functions as a consult service only (no admissions).
- Pediatric trauma patients treated only if age 15+ and at least 50 kilograms. Otherwise, pediatric patients are not admitted.
Required Procedures / Duties
- ERCP
- EUS
- Endoscopy
- GI bleed management
- Evaluation and treatment of GI conditions
- General inpatient GI consult coverage
Facility Support
- 24/7 intensivist coverage onsite
- 24/7 hospitalist coverage onsite
- 24/7 trauma services onsite
Credentialing Information
- Standard credentialing timeframe: days
- Emergency privileges may be available within 1 2 weeks for clean files
- Credentialing at additional affiliated facilities may be required
Submission Requirements
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Gastroenterology Fellowship completed
- Active Colorado License or active IMLC LOQ at time of submission
- Active DEA required
- Ability to perform ERCP and EUS
- Availability for listed coverage dates
- Ability to provide ongoing monthly availability
Preferred Qualifications
- Local/drive-in providers strongly preferred
