Job description

  • Specialty: Body Imaging Radiology Physician
  • Setting: Outpatient
  • Target start date and Length of need: ASAP upon credentialing completion
  • Locums Shift Schedule: Flexible hours. Primarily outpatient imaging; ideally 8 hour day 8-5
  • No weekends; no nights. 3-4 days per week preferred
  • Call Responsibilities: None
  • Type of patients/cases/procedures required: Breakdown: 40% CT, 20% US, 20% MRI, 20% plain films
  • Patient Encounters per shift: 60-70 estimated volume of studies per day, based on an average mix of modalities
  • CT Chest/Abd/Pelvis: 5-10 studies per 8hr shift
  • CT PE studies: 5-10 studies per 8hr shift
  • CTA Cardiac: not required but nice to have. 1-2 per 8hr shift
  • CTA Chest/Abd/Pelvis: Ultrasound: (when on US shift, volume is about 40-50 studies per 8hr shift
  • Includes: Abd/Pelvis, Vascular (venous), GYN, OB, Arterial Doppler (Body & Renal), Thyroid. Not required/applicable: Peds/newborn, Breast, Guidance procedures, Echo Cardiogram. MRI Chest/Abd/Pelvis: MRA Body: Available support staff: Yes
  • Solo or Team: Team
  • CO license or IMLC LOQ in hand: Required
  • Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology with at least 1 of the following Fellowship Trainings: Abdominal Imaging, Cardiothoracic Imaging, or Emergency Radiology. Preference is for the candidate to be open to reading other subspecialties: Required
  • BLS/CPR - Basic Life Support (AHA - American Heart Association): Required
