LEAD is hiring a Spanish and English speaking Construction Safety Coordinator!
If you are an experienced safety professional in the construction industry and can communicate in both Spanish and English, we want to talk to you!
This is an excellent opportunity with job stability and overtime.
This person will be responsible for assisting the Safety Manager with safety program execution, field supervision, training, safety administration, case/care management, coordination, etc.
Requirements:
- Able to effectively communicate in both Spanish and English
- OSHA 30
- EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) Experience
- Current First Aid, CPR, Narcon, Bloodborn pathogens, and AED training
- Emergency procedures training
- OSHA 510 ( preferred)
- NFPA 70E and LOTO ( preferred)
- Must pass national background check
- Must pass Drug Test
- Must have valid Drivers License
- Work 8-12 plus hours a day, Saturdays and some Sundays as needed
- Walk, stand, bend, lift and work in all weather conditions
Job duties:
- Jobsite inspections
- Injury and incident Investigations/Reporting
- Conduct weekly Toolbox safety meetings to include attendance document
- Cooperation and collaboration with Project Managers/Contractors
- Equipment Inspections
- First aid, medical treatment, and bloodborne pathogens
- Safety Representative Meetings
- Disciplinary/Corrective Actions
- Pre task plans
- Additional duties as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to hear, and speak clearly with professional standard grammar.
- Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., must have dexterity of fingers (or mechanical substitutions).
