What You ll Do:
  • Cover labor and delivery units as a hospitalist OB provider.
  • Manage both low and high-risk pregnancies, including complex cases such as Toxemia, Diabetes, and multiple births.
  • Perform routine obstetric procedures including FHR interpretation, ultrasounds, and delivery support.
  • Assist with cesarean sections, breech deliveries, VBACs, and operative procedures.
  • Collaborate with OB residents, nursing staff, and midwives to ensure patient safety.
  • Document care in the EMR system and oversee patient management in a Level III NICU environment.
  • Provide care for gynecological procedures as needed.

What You Need:
  • Ohio Medical License and current DEA registration.
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Minimum of 2+ years clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of obstetric procedures, high-risk management, and EMR documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

About the Assignment:
This assignment takes place at a reputable hospital in Toledo, OH, which is a Level III NICU and Level 4 L&D service. The facility is a teaching hospital with OB residents assisting during labor and delivery. This temporary assignment aims to support the hospital during a staffing shortage while delivering excellent maternity care.
