We are seeking a Full-time Structural Steel Welder to join our fabrication team who is highly motivated, exceptional attention to detail, and wants to work for a company that values his/her hard work and contribution.
Duties:
- Read and accurately interpret blueprint drawings, weld symbols, and technical specifications.
- Responsible for welding, fitting, and finishing critical load-bearing steel components for commercial projects.
- Operate and maintain welding machines and grinders safely.
- Working alongside other team members to work as a team to complete/execute each project in a productive manner
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions (heat/cold).
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in structural steel fabrication or a related industrial setting preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED; formal technical training from a trade school is a plus.
- Active AWS D1.1 Structural Steel certification is highly preferred; must be able to pass an in-house weld test.
Location: New Braunfels, Texas
Status: Full-Time In-House Steel Welder & Fabricator (no remote options)
