Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various welding techniques. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components according to specifications. You will work with blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precision and quality in your work.
PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE
Duties
- Interpret and read blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications.
- Utilize welding equipment to fabricate metal components, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Use tools such as calipers and micrometers for precise measurements and adjustments.
- Work with sheet metal to create parts as required by the project.
- Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Operate cranes or other lifting equipment safely when moving heavy materials.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Welder or in a similar role within the manufacturing or construction industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with welding tools and equipment, including soldering tools.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Certification in welding is preferred but not mandatory.
