Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Orthopaedic Trauma Physician, you will be a part of our Division of Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at Creighton University Medical Center and CHI Health as part of our vibrant ACS designated Level I Trauma Surgery program and expand our clinical, surgical, research, and educational activities in conjunction with our Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Every day you will provide excellent outcomes, in collaboration with a highly ranked team of ten Trauma-Critical Care Surgeons. Our Division of Orthopaedic Trauma as part of our integrated, multi-specialty system, working with every member of the Trauma team committed to the highest outcome of every procedure we perform.

To be successful in this role, you will be ABOS eligible or certified with graduation from an ACGME Accredited Trauma Fellowship. This opportunity is ripe for a busy individual to join our Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and all of its domains in partnership with outstanding colleagues and forward-thinking and dynamic academic and business leadership.

In collaboration with Creighton University School of Medicine, the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery will establish a residency program, led by our Department Chair, Dr. Ranjan Gupta, in conjunction with a newly created Orthopaedic Center of excellence at CHI Health.

Resident activity with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery will be highly engaging at our University Medical Center and Level I Trauma Center.
    • Working in an academic teaching environment educating Creighton University Medical Center and conducting research in collaboration with scientists within Common Spirit and Creighton University School of Medicine.
    • Reporting to the Creighton & CHI Health Department Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery
    • Seven (7) Days per week of APP support
    • Maximum Six (6) 24 hour call nights per month

Job Requirements
Required:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, families, and health-care professionals
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to adults and families

Pay Range
$700,000 - 710,000 /hour
