Job description
As our Occupational Medicine Physician, you will join St. Joseph Medical Group (SJMG) in Bryan/College Station, Texas, as we expand our specialized Occupational Medicine network. This unique opportunity allows you to provide outstanding care, significantly impacting workplace health and safety within a vibrant community, and offers potential to grow and lead services in our well-established practice.
Every day you will manage approximately 20 patients, focusing on comprehensive occupational healthcare. You will perform vital fit-for-duty evaluations, pre-employment physicals, and DOT examinations, while expertly diagnosing and managing work-related injuries and illnesses. Collaborate closely with employers and case managers, utilize modern EHR systems, and enjoy a flexible 4.5-day work week designed for work-life balance in Bryan/College Station.
To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physician with a strong interest or expertise in Occupational Medicine, holding an active Texas license. Job Requirements
Required:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related primary care specialty
- Active or eligible license in the state of Texas
- Strong clinical skills with experience or keen interest in occupational health principles, including injury/illness management and prevention
- DOT medical examiner certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, employers, and diverse professional groups
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, understanding business and regulatory contexts
- Commitment to providing high-quality, comprehensive occupational healthcare to workers and companies

$267,010 - $303,100 /year
