    • Openings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel contract in Oregon, requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications with at least 3 years of experience.Details
      • Emergency Department (ED) setting within a hospital environment
      • Manages a diverse patient population ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies
      • Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week
      • Weekend and holiday coverage required, as the ED operates 24/7
      • Travelers may be floated to other departments before core staff when qualified to perform patient careRequirements
        • Active RN license in the state of Oregon required
        • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
        • Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
        • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
        • Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
        • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects up to 25 lbs
        • Must be capable of continuous walking and standing, and working 12-hour shifts in high-stress situationsAdditional Information
          • Responsibilities include patient triage, assessment, medication and IV administration, wound care, splinting, and continuous vital sign monitoring
          • Responds to rapid response calls and code blue situations
          • Documents patient information and treatment plans accurately in the EHR
          • Provides patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and follow-up care
          • Works collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff
          • BSN and specialty certifications (e.g., CEN) are preferred but not required
          • CRASE training will be required if the assignment extends beyond 6 months
          • Subject to frequent exposure to infection, contagious disease, hazardous materials, and occasionally combative patientsAmerican Traveler Job ID .
