  • Active Virginia medical license required
Board Requirements
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician preferred
Certifications
  • Active DEA registration required
  • ECFMG certification required for international medical graduates
Education & Training
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Successful completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program
Availability Needed
  • Start Date: September 7, 2026
Schedule
  • Monday-Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Potential extended clinic hours until 7:00 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays
  • Coverage may rotate among three clinic locations within Richmond based on operational needs
Patient Volume
  • Physicians: Approximately 25 patients per day
  • APPs: Approximately 20 patients per day
Documentation Expectations
  • All patient encounters must be completed and closed by 8:30 AM the following morning
Practice Overview
  • Community-based outpatient primary care
  • Comprehensive family medicine practice
  • Preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care treatment
  • Multidisciplinary care team environment
  • Patient-centered and community-focused practice
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive physical examinations
  • Preventive health screenings and wellness visits
  • Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
  • Medication management and prescribing
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing and laboratory studies
  • Care coordination and specialist referrals
  • Family and community health education
  • Participation in quality improvement initiatives
Additional Clinical Experience Preferred
  • Preventive medicine
  • Behavioral health integration
  • Community health and population health management
  • Women's health and basic gynecologic care
  • Minor procedures within scope of training
Ideal Candidate
  • Family Medicine Physician with strong outpatient experience
  • Active Virginia license and DEA registration
  • Comfortable seeing 25 patients per day
  • Efficient and timely with documentation
  • Flexible to work across multiple clinic locations
  • Team-oriented provider committed to community-based care
