City Doors and More Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our growing team. The estimator will be responsible for reviewing project plans, preparing accurate material take-offs, pricing Division 6, 8, and 10 scopes, and coordinating with vendors and project managers.
This position plays a critical role in helping the company secure new projects and maintain profitable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform detailed door, frame, hardware, millwork, and specialty take-offs
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and bid proposals
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Maintain organized bid files and estimate tracking logs
- Coordinate with project managers and field teams
- Assist with change orders and value engineering opportunities
- Meet bid deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- Experience in construction estimating (preferred in Division 6, 8, or 10)
- Ability to read architectural plans and hardware schedules
- Strong Excel and computer skills
- Knowledge of commercial doors, frames, hardware, and millwork is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
