PrideStaff is currently seeking a General Production Worker/Spot Welder for a wood/metal manufacturing company located in Rialto, CA. This position is a full-time, temporary position with potential for hire. Please see the job requirements below to be considered.
- Hourly Pay Rate: $22.00 to $23.00
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 -12 hours daily - 1st shift 6 am to 2:30 pm (plus mandatory overtime as needed; must be able to work 12 hours daily, including Saturdays)
Job summary: Depending on assignment, successful candidates may do any of the following duties:
- Will be cleaning doors in the production area
- Material preparation and material handling
- Staging and packaging finished product for delivery
- Inspecting and sorting doors. Will need to flip doors throughout the whole shift.
- Other general warehouse duties as needed
- In all functions, maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety rules
- May spot-weld metal doors
Preferred Experience/Requirements:
- Past experience in commercial woodworking is a plus (doors, millwork, cabinets, etc.)
- Past experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Some welding experience required (Spot welding or MIG welding highly preferred)
- General knowledge of building materials
- Can perform simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs 8-10 hours daily, as the position requires the flipping of doors and checking for damage.
- Must have good attention to detail.
- Must have steel-toe shoes or steel-toe boots
- Must be willing to submit to a drug test and a background prior to start
