NextStep Recruiting is partnering with a confidential global law firm to identify an Energy & Infrastructure Transactions Associate. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with experience at a sophisticated law firm advising clients on complex energy and infrastructure transactions. The role offers exposure to renewable energy, energy transition, power generation, and infrastructure projects across domestic and international markets.


Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, project development, and other strategic energy transactions
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and development-related contracts
  • Conduct legal due diligence and support transaction execution for acquisitions, divestitures, and development platform transactions
  • Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary legal teams on complex domestic and cross-border matters


Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission
  • 3-6 years of transactional experience at a law firm
  • Experience with M&A, joint ventures, project development, or energy-related transactions
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and client management skills
  • Interest in renewable energy, infrastructure, or energy transition projects
  • Experience representing renewable energy, power, infrastructure, or project development clients
