Job description

Position overview

The Sanitation Technician helps keep the pasta production facility clean, safe, and compliant with food safety and GMP standards. This role supports both common areas and production lines to ensure a hygienic environment for food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize common areas (breakrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices as needed)

Clean and sanitize production areas, including floors, equipment exteriors, and surrounding work areas

Remove trash and recyclables; maintain orderly waste and recycling areas

Follow established sanitation procedures and schedules for the production lines

Handle and use approved cleaning chemicals and supplies safely and correctly

Refill and maintain cleaning supplies and sanitation stations

Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including personal hygiene and plant rules

Report any safety, quality, or equipment issues to the sanitation lead or supervisor

Support additional sanitation or housekeeping tasks as assigned

Requirements

Previous janitorial, sanitation, or industrial cleaning experience preferred (food manufacturing or GMP environment a plus)

Ability to work 10-hour shifts, Tuesday through Saturday

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift

Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals (with proper PPE and training)

Reliable attendance and ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Willingness to complete required screenings (background check, 5-panel drug test, I-9/E-Verify, and any site-required trainings)
