Garage Team Lead - 2nd ShiftSchedule: Monday - FridayHours: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PMPosition SummaryThe Garage Team Lead is responsible for supporting daily garage operations while providing leadership, direction, and hands-on support to the team during the 2nd shift. This position will assist with coordinating workflow, prioritizing repairs, maintaining equipment, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.The Garage Team Lead will serve as a key point of contact for the garage team during the assigned shift, supporting team productivity, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and communicating operational updates to leadership. This role requires a strong mechanical background, leadership skills, and the ability to work independently while managing daily priorities.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead and support garage team members during the 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 11:00 PM)Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily maintenance and repair tasks to ensure timely completionProvide guidance and support to team members to promote accountability and productivityAssist with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues with fleet vehicles, trailers, equipment, and company assetsPerform hands-on maintenance and repair workSupport preventative maintenance programs and ensure repairs are completed properly and documented accuratelyEnsure equipment and vehicles are maintained in a safe and operational conditionCommunicate maintenance concerns, delays, and operational updates to managementMonitor proper use and care of tools, equipment, and shop resourcesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe garage environmentEnsure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and company guidelinesAssist with parts and inventory management as neededStep in and support the team with daily tasks to keep operations running efficientlyOther duties as assigned

Requirements:
QualificationsPrevious experience in a garage, fleet maintenance, diesel, automotive, or equipment repair environment preferredPrior leadership, supervisor, or team lead experience preferredStrong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issuesKnowledge of preventative maintenance practices preferredAbility to read and understand repair instructions, work orders, and maintenance documentationStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to make decisions and provide direction when management is not presentStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently while maintaining a high level of quality and safetyMust provide and maintain personal tools required to perform job duties.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions throughout the shiftAbility to lift, push, pull, and move tools, equipment, and parts as neededAbility to work in a garage environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, varying temperatures, and mechanical hazardsPId994de06c0-
