Special Procedures/Unit Details : Ambulatory practice management including efficient clinic flow and ensure continuity of patient care. Completion of pertinent nursing assessment and interventions. Ensure new patient records received and abstracted for physician review. Telephone triage of clinic patients. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, chemo/surgery/BMT/CARt teaching, treatment side effects.Administer intermuscular and subcutaneous chemotherapy injections, work with CADD pumps for continuous infusions, access/de-access and trouble shoot PAS-ports and chest ports.For Surgical Clinics: Assist physician with in-office minor surgical procedures such as excisional biopsy /wide excision/ JP drain/wound vacuum care, wound drainage, minor surgical procedures.
