Job Title: Electronics Technician 2
Location: Johnson City Tennessee 37604
Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension)
Shift Hours: 8am-5pm (40 hours / week)
Description/Position Summary:
- We are looking for someone who wants to be an electronics technician and has some experience doing the job.
- We're currently looking for an Electronics Technician to join our hands-on team supporting engineering, interfacing with manufacturing, and driving customer success.
- This is a unique opportunity to be part of a globally respected company, while contributing locally at a highly specialized site in Johnson City, TN.
- As an Electronics Technician, you'll be troubleshooting and resolving complex electronics issues.
Your role will span:
- Diagnosing and repairing faults in electronic assemblies using test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
- Performing soldering (both SMT and through-hole) and hands-on circuit repairs
- Building and maintaining custom test rigs, and ensuring test equipment is regularly calibrated
- Assisting engineers in research and development activities-prototyping, testing, and assembling electronics for new products
- Investigating returned products and supporting root cause analysis on customer issues
- You'll work closely with a collaborative team of Technicians and Engineers with the chance to expand your skills across technical domains.

- Test rigs to test our units
- Surface mount soldering under microscope
- Working with database Team to complete development.
- It's a typical tech position and will also be by engineers' side doing hands on work.
Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Associates in electrical/electronics engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience preferred.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the electronics or related industry
- Strong understanding of electronics diagnostics, circuit testing, and fault finding
- Competent with soldering, wiring, reading schematics, and building electronic assemblies
- Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using technical documentation and managing equipment records
Education:
Associates in electrical/electronics engineering.
