Job Description: Job Description A hospital-based pharmacist position is available in Tucson, AZ, for a 13-week contract with the possibility to extend to temp-to-perm. The role supports a 200-bed facility, focusing on safe and effective medication management for patients. Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing to optimize patient outcomesEducate nursing staff, physicians, and patients on proper medication use and safetyLead medication safety initiatives and ensure compliance with protocolsReview patient profiles to identify potential adverse drug reactions and report accordinglyPrepare IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and maintain narcotic accountability Desired Experience:Licensed pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience preferredStrong clinical knowledge in dosing and medication safetyAbility to educate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teamsExperienced in handling IV admixtures and narcotic controls Schedule:Positions available for day, afternoon, or night shiftsPreference for candidates able to work 7 days on, 7 days off night shifts This is a contract opportunity starting ASAP.
