We are seeking a
Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to provide locum tenens coverage at two locations in Tennessee.
- Schedule & Coverage
- Coverage Model: 2 locations per month (BRMC weekly rotation)
- Shift Structure: Monday 7:00 AM Monday 7:00 AM (7-day blocks)
- Daily Schedule:
- Onsite: 8 10 hours/day (Monday Friday)
- Call: Night call + 24-hour weekend call coverage
- Call Details:
- Primarily phone consults
- Rare callback to facility after hours
- All shifts: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM

Requirements - Board Certification: Gastroenterology (Required)
- Licensure:
- Active TN license or IMLC eligibility required prior to confirmation
- Certifications: ACLS & BLS required
- DEA: Tennessee DEA required
- Experience:
- Strong experience in General GI and ERCP
- Additional: CSR preferred
Responsibilities - Perform general GI and advanced procedures, including ERCP
- Provide inpatient consults and procedural care
- Participate in call coverage (weekdays + weekends)
- Collaborate closely with APPs and nursing staff
Practice Details - Facilities:
- BRMC Endoscopy Suite
- HVMC Main OR & Endoscopy Suite
- Support Staff: OR staff and in-house Endoscopy nurses
- Patient Volume:
- 5 6 procedures per 24-hour call period
- Consult volume variable
- Bed Capacity:
- BRMC: 348 beds
- HVMC: 345 beds
- Patient Population: Adults (occasional patients under 18)
- Documentation System: EPIC (preferred experience)
- Equipment: Olympus endoscopy equipment
