- Function as a First Assistant in the operating room (OR) for a variety of cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries.
- Utilize your expertise to assist a team of four Cardiothoracic Surgery PAs.
- Participate in scheduled OR cases, inpatient rounding, and potential call coverage (approximately 1 in 4 weeks, evenings and nights).
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assist clinic staff with answering patient call-in questions as needed.
- Potential duties may include assisting with endovenous and endoradial harvesting procedures, floor management for patient discharges, and emergent surgeries.Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted license in Montana (MT) or through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Surgery or a related specialty is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Cardiovascular Surgery PA/NP is required.
- First Assisting experience in the OR is mandatory.
- Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and technical abilities in a cardiovascular surgery setting.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with a team and patients in various situations.
