Step into a critical care environment focused on delivering exceptional neurological care in a dynamic 19-bed Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit. This opportunity centers on providing expert nursing support for patients managing acute stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), post-surgical complications, seizures, and other neurologically complex conditions. This role requires specialized knowledge and clinical skills to manage invasive intracranial pressure monitoring, perform frequent neurological assessments, ensure proper hemodynamic monitoring, and coordinate routine imaging including CT, MRI, and Angio. Key Details:Schedule: Straight weekend block-Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.Patient Ratio: 2-3:1.Flexibility to float to other ICUs or step-down units as required. Qualifications:Active and unrestricted RN license.Minimum one year of dedicated Neuro ICU experience.Proficiency in managing acute neurological conditions and use of invasive pressure monitoring devices.Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities in fast-paced, high-acuity settings.BLS and ACLS certifications (current).Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to evolving patient needs.Willingness to float to other ICUs or step-down units when needed. Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive neurological and hemodynamic assessments, monitor patient status, and promptly communicate changes.Administer medications, manage IVs, and maintain invasive monitoring equipment.Work collaboratively with neurology, neurosurgery, and ancillary support teams.Prepare and assist patients for diagnostic processes such as CT, MRI, and Angio.Deliver high-quality care for critically ill patients while supporting their families.
