Sarno da Costa D'Aniello Maceri Webb has an excellent opportunity to join our Firm as an Associate Attorney with 3-5+ years of Family Law experience to be based out of our Roseland, NJ office.


We are looking for an attorney who has a passion for family law and experience handling all aspects of divorce and related matters to join our growing law firm. You need to be a self-starter, enjoy a collaborative work environment focused on excellent service, and have compassion. You should possess the ability to build relationships with your clients and know your way around a courtroom.


Responsibilities:

  • Immediate client contact and assumption of responsibilities
  • Demonstrate experience in taking ownership of a client's case - discovery, pleadings, motions; collaboration and mediation; pretrial hearings, motion hearings, and trials
  • Conduct client meetings and recommend strategies
  • Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of our clients
  • Advise our clients on business and legal transactions
  • Negotiate settlements of legal disputes
  • Litigating family law cases in a courtroom environment
  • Delegate work to paralegals and legal assistants and monitor their work
  • The ability to attend/appear in court in New Jersey
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school
  • New Jersey Bar Admission is required
  • 3-5+ years of Family Law experience
  • Experience researching complex family law matters

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactiveness, resourcefulness, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to communicate professionally to internal and external clients
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task required
  • Previous experience as a trial court law clerk is a plus
  • Ability to build rapport with opposing counsel and/or clients
  • Personable and professional
  • Person who takes their responsibilities and career seriously
  • A team player
