Key Responsibilities - Provide surgical and non-surgical care for trauma patients
- Perform life-saving procedures in emergency situations
- Participate in emergency general surgery call rotation
- Collaborate across specialties for comprehensive patient care
- Engage in trauma quality improvement and registry activities
- Support resident and medical student education (if applicable)
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
Qualifications - MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in General Surgery
- Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Surgery (preferred)
- Active Florida medical license
- ATLS certification (Instructor status a plus)
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience - 2+ years post-fellowship experience in trauma or acute care surgery
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center
- Familiarity with trauma registries, ACS verification, and quality programs

Schedule - Rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Shared trauma call coverage
