Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $17 - $19 / hour
What you'll be doing as a CNC Mill / Lathe Machinist:
- Perform machining operations including saw cutting, vertical and horizontal milling, CNC machining, grinding, sanding, deburring, and paint preparation according to engineering specifications and work orders
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and shop orders to manufacture parts to precise specifications and tolerances
- Set up, program, and operate CNC equipment, including entering machine instructions, tool offsets, and tooling configurations
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, jigs, inserts, and machining methods for production requirements
- Safely load and unload raw materials and castings; operate machine shop equipment and hand tools proficiently
- Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, verniers, depth gauges, indicators, etc.) to inspect parts and verify compliance with quality standards
- Monitor machining processes including drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, and threading to maintain product specifications
- Identify and correct defects through deburring, grinding, filing, and finishing operations
- Maintain production efficiency and quality by ensuring parts consistently meet specifications, reducing errors, and minimizing nonconformance
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, PPE standards, ISO requirements, and 6S workplace practices
- Perform routine machine maintenance, daily cleaning, and preventive maintenance tasks
- Complete production records, quality documentation, manufacturing paperwork, and communicate work status, issues, and ongoing needs to supervisors and team members

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day) & Weekends
Job requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
- Minimum of 3-year experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in a manufacturing environment, preferred Mazak and/or Cincinnati lamb
- Intermediate knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments (calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, etc)
- Intermediate knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an intermediate understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions
- Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines
- Flexibility in working shifts or work schedules is highly desirable
- Background check and Drug test required
