JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Specialty: CRNA - General Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Sumter, SC Service Setting: Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Sep 21, 2026 Dec 21, 2026 Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon Fri, 5x 8hr shifts or 4x 10hr shifts (8hr shifts preferred) PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Pediatrics (PEDS 18yrs), and Adults Patient Volume/Census: 15-30 patients per day Case Mix: General Anesthesia (Bread and Butter) FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 283 beds EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60-90 days (60 days with SC license, 90 days without) REQUIRED PROCEDURES General Anesthesia (Bread and Butter) No cardiac, neuro, or OB procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active SC license (will consider licensing) Board: Board Certified NBCRNA Certifications: NBCRNA, BLS, ACLS, PALS Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience; clean malpractice history Other Qualifications: No local providers within 60 miles; must be out of training; clean malpractice history DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide anesthesia care for general surgery cases under medical direction Care for pediatric patients (ages up to 18 years) and adult patients Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and formulate anesthetic plans Administer anesthesia, monitor patients intraoperatively, and manage post-anesthesia emergence Document patient encounters and anesthesia records in the Epic EMR system
