Role Overview:
A growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Precision Machinist / Tool & Die Maker to support precision machining and custom tooling operations. This role involves setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining manual and CNC equipment to produce high-quality machined components, tooling, and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have strong machining fundamentals, blueprint reading skills, and hands-on troubleshooting experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines including lathes, mills, and grinders
• Program CNC machines and modify programs when required
• Manufacture precision parts based on engineering drawings and specifications
• Build and maintain tooling, fixtures, molds, and special-purpose components
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Troubleshoot machining issues and perform equipment adjustments
• Support machine maintenance and process improvement initiatives
• Maintain quality, safety, and production standards
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of machining or Tool & Die experience
• Strong manual machining and CNC programming skills
• Experience with tooling setup, repair, and maintenance
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
• Strong math and machining calculation skills
Preferred Skills:
• CMM experience
• Fixture, mold, or tooling design experience
• Manufacturing process improvement knowledge
