Pay: This will be decided based on experience upon completion of the test and interview.
Experience: Need at least 5 years
Job Summary:
There are three different classes of welder, class A, B, and C. A welder is designated to a class by his experience level. The first level (class C) must have at least one (1) welding certification, and be able to productively weld small parts in normal 1F, or 2F positions. This class will receive instructions for each job verbally from his supervisor.
The second level (class B) must have at least one (1) welding certification, and be able to productively weld most parts in normal 1F, 1G, or 2F, 2G positions. He must also be able to read and understand basic shop drawings, and basic welding procedures. This class will receive instructions for each job from shop drawings and supervisor.
The final level (class A) is the most experienced welders. He must have multiple welding certifications, at least one (1) of which unlimited. He must be able to productively weld any part in normal position and out of position, for example vertical plate, and tubular connections. He must be able to read and understand welding procedures and shop drawings. This class will receive instruction from shop drawings on each job via fabricator of job and supervisor will oversee this.
All welders must be able to read weld fillet gauges.
Reports to Shop Leads / Fabrication Manager.
Essential functions:
1.) Read shop drawings
2.) Setup work area for each job
3.) Clean work area after each job
4.) Perform all job functions safely
5.) Be responsible for quality of the welds he produces
6.) Stack or palletize parts and material in appropriate quantities to be moved by a pallet jack or lift truck
7.) Follow welding procedures
8.) Read weld fillet gauges
9.) Other duties as assigned
10.) Works over-time as required

Education/experience:
Basic Math
AWS Welding certification
