Opportunity Overview We are seeking a Gastroenterology Physician to provide weekend on call coverage at an acute care hospital in scenic Mountain Home, Arkansas ️. This position is ideal for local GI providers looking for a low volume, high value locums opportunity with consistent coverage needs.
Low patient census
Supportive inpatient setting
Competitive weekend compensation
Schedule & Coverage Call Coverage:
- Friday 5:00 PM Monday 7:00 AM
Shifts Include:
- Standard weekend call
- Two night shifts (12 hours): 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Frequency: One weekend per month
Clinical Details - Setting: Inpatient
- Facility: Acute Care Hospital (200+ beds)
- Trauma Level: Adult Level III / IV
- Patient Census: 1 2 patients per day
- Patient Population: Adults & adolescents
- Cases Include:
- Endoscopies
- GI bleeds
- Evaluation of GI conditions
- Support Staff: RN team
- EMR: Epic (Cerner listed in system history)
Requirements - Active Arkansas Medical License Required
- Must be local to Arkansas
- DEA: Required
- COVID 19 Vaccine: Required
- Medical/Religious Exemptions Accepted
