We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment at a well-established hospital in Grand Forks, ND. This is an excellent opportunity to provide advanced surgical care while earning strong compensation in a supportive, fully staffed environment.

Position Overview
This role involves primarily inpatient coverage with call, including surgical procedures, rounding, and consults. You ll be supported by a dedicated CT surgery APP team and full OR staff, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including:
- CABG
- Valve repair/replacement
- Pericardial window
- Lung resection
- Vascular procedures (e.g., endarterectomies)
- Manage inpatient rounding and call coverage
- Conduct outpatient consults following surgical cases
- Collaborate with APPs, nursing staff, and surgical teams
- Ensure high-quality patient care and documentation
Schedule
- 24/7 call coverage during assignment dates
- Typically 1 2 surgeries per day (Monday Friday)
- Inpatient rounding + afternoon consults
Practice Environment

Requirements
- Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon
- American Board / AOA OR Canadian Board (Royal College accepted)
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Expertise in cardiothoracic and vascular procedures
- Active medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Strong clinical and surgical judgment
