- Coverage Type: Call-only Pediatrics Hospitalist coverage
- Shift Structure: 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM (24-hour call shifts)
- Monthly Coverage Requirement: Up to 15 days/month
- Scheduling Pattern: 2-3 weekends/month (must include weekend coverage)
- Flexibility: Dates flexible depending on awarded provider
- Candidate Requirement: Drive-in candidates only
Clinical Setting
- Facility Type: Hospital (Pediatrics service line)
- Trauma Level: III
- EMR Systems: Meditech and Athena
- Department Beds:
- 3 Pediatric beds
- 14 nursing beds
- Patient Volume: 4-8 patients per shift
- Coverage Model:
- Call-only (beeper call)
- Includes admissions and rounding
- Assigned and unassigned patients
Clinical Responsibilities
- Pediatric admissions
- Inpatient rounding (assigned and unassigned patients)
- Call response for pediatric hospitalist service
- Inpatient stabilization and management
- Coordination with nursing and ancillary staff
Call Requirements
- Call Type: Beeper call
- Required Response Time: 30 minutes
Requirements
Board Certification
- Board Certified or Board Eligible required
Licensure
- Active Texas license required OR IMLC accepted
Certifications
- PALS required
- BLS required
- ABLS required
