24-hour call only, 7am-7am
Weekend coverage required
Up to 15 days per month spread over 2-3 weekends
Requirements
Board certified or board eligible
Texas license or IMLC
ABLS, BLS, PALS
Required Procedures / Skills
PICU care
Nursery Level I and Level II / NICU - Preferred
Attend C-sections and high-risk deliveries
Pediatric ventilation management - acute and chronic
Pediatric intubation - newborn and pediatrics
Central line placement
Assignment Details
Practice setting: Inpatient
Admissions required
Patients per shift: 4-8
EMR: MediTech / Athena
Trauma level: 3
Call type: Beeper
Call response time: 30 minutes
Phone consults: 2-6
Patients seen during call: 1-4
Admissions during call: 1-4
Drive-in candidates only
