Anesthesiology Locum Opportunity Pennsylvania
Position Overview
A healthcare system in Pennsylvania is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for short-term locum coverage across multiple community hospital locations. This is a weekday-only assignment focused on bread-and-butter general anesthesia cases with CRNA support and no weekend call requirements.
Compensation:
$330/hr
Assignment Details
Coverage Dates: June 26 July 31, 2026
Schedule:
Monday Friday
7:00 AM 3:30 PM, or until cases are completed
Orientation required one business day prior to first scheduled shift
No weekend call
Coverage Locations & Dates:
Multiple community hospital locations throughout the system
Specific shift schedule available upon request
Practice Setting
Hospital-based General Anesthesia
Floating coverage between multiple facilities
CRNA support available at each location
Cerner EMR
Adult patient population
Average daily census: 20 or fewer cases
Case Mix
Bread-and-butter anesthesia cases including:
Urology
Gynecology
GI Endoscopy
Orthopedics
Plastics
Occasional dental procedures
Not Required:
Cardiac anesthesia
Neurosurgery
Obstetrics
Requirements
Required:
Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Active Pennsylvania Medical License (IMLC accepted)
DEA Registration
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification
Minimum 1 2 years of experience
Cerner experience preferred
Credentialing
Expedited credentialing available in approximately 2 3 weeks for clean files
Standard credentialing may take days
