We areseeking a Board-Certified Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in a locum tenens capacity inSalem VA. The provider will work closely with the Cardiac and CardiothoracicSurgery teams to manage inpatient, outpatient, and procedural care.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Provide 24/7 patient coverage, including call responsibilities.
- See patients in the cardiology clinic and round on inpatients.
- Assist in the CVOR with the CT surgeon, including vein harvesting and functioning as a First Assist during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with EMR (eCW).
PatientVolume: Approximately 25 patients per day
Qualifications:
- Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Active state licensure in Virginia.
- BCLS and ACLS certification required.
- Experience in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, or critical care preferred.
- Ability to function in the operating room as a First Assist, including vein harvesting.
