The Mobile Diesel Technician works independently to provide on-site diagnostics, repair, and maintenance for a variety of diesel-powered equipment including light-duty vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, construction machinery, and agricultural equipment. This role requires strong technical skills across hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and emission systems, with a focus on safety inspections and effective customer communication. The technician will be responsible for managing tools and traveling regionally and locally to complete service calls.
Responsibilities
- Perform diesel engine repair and diagnostics on-site
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and electrical systems
- Service fuel and emission control systems
- Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance
- Manage and maintain tools and equipment
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status and recommendations
- Travel regionally and locally to complete service calls
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in diesel engine repair
- Valid driver's license for regional and local travel
