Job description

Coverage Needed

  • Start Date: October 22, 2026
  • End Date: July 2027
  • Schedule:
    • Monday - Friday: 7 AM - 5 PM
    • and/or Weekend Night Shifts: 14 hours in-house (5 PM - 7 AM), Max 4-night shifts
      • Requirement: Friday Sat, Sat Sun, Sun Mon, Mon Tues
    • Required to work the 4 needed days in a row
    • Option to add 1 additional Day shift on Tuesday or Thursday

Clinical Details

  • Practice Percentage: Adult 80%; Trauma 20%
  • Patient Age Demographic: Mostly Adult
  • 60 surgical cases per day (50% general, 10% neuro, 20% complex vascular, 20% complex ortho)
  • Number of Anesthesiologists: 55
  • Number of CRNAs: 30
  • CRNA Supervision: Required 40% of the time, supervising up to 3 CRNAs or AAs
  • Number of Operating Rooms: 22
  • Trauma Level: 1
  • Locum tenens physician responsible for preparing anesthesia chart: No, and the facility has difficult airway equipment
  • EMR: EPIC (Hospital & Surgical Center)
  • Other anesthesiologists present during coverage
  • Required Procedures: General Anesthesia (Adult & Trauma), Acute Pain Management, Spinal Anesthesia, Epidural Anesthesia, Central Line, Arterial Line, Regional Anesthesia Surgery, Obstetrical Cases, Neurosurgical Cases, Complex Vascular Cases (except open heart), Complex Orthopedic Cases, Local Infiltration, Use of Ultrasound in Placement of Blocks, Ventilation Management, Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume/BP Issues, Arterial Line Placement, Minor Nerve Blocks, IV Regional Anesthesia, CRNA Supervision

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Anesthesiology (Not accepting BE)
  • Active CO License or Active IMLC LOQ (Willing to review candidates needing to obtain license)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS/APLS
  • Must be able to cover 2 weeks consecutively a month
    • Cover 2 weekends per month - Preferred
  • Clean Malpractice/No Background (Highly Preferred)
  • Local Candidates (Highly Preferred)
  • Must be able to perform Central Lines
  • Must be comfortable doing PEDs
  • Must be able to do open vascular procedures
  • Self-Query NPDB Report pulled within 30 days at time of presentation
  • Trauma Level I experience (2 years outside of residency)
